Frequently Asked Questions (Rating)

Understanding the Ratings

Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about using our rating platform.

AAA Excellence
AA Superior
A Good
BBB Satisfactory
BB Under Review
B Vulnerable
CCC Deficient
D Critical

What does an "AAA" rating mean compared to a "D" rating?

An AAA rating represents ecological excellence (minimal or regenerative impact). Conversely, a D rating indicates a critical environmental impact or a complete lack of transparency in emissions data.

Where does the data used for the calculation come from?

We use a mix of public data (annual reports, government databases), satellite data for resource monitoring, and data provided by our technology partner DEVA through carbon footprint analysis algorithms.

Why doesn't a company appear in your results?

Our database is constantly expanding. If a company is not yet rated, it means either that we are in the data collection phase, or that the available information is insufficient to guarantee a reliable score.

Can a company pay to improve its rating?

Absolutely not. Independence is the cornerstone of Eco-Rating. Scores are calculated automatically by impartial algorithms. The only way to improve a rating is to concretely reduce the environmental impact proven by verifiable data.
